Sliding on ice in the park, seeing weeds frozen in a weed version of suspended animation, watching crows caw and reflect the sunlight so much they appear white. Drinking in and smiling in all the sunlight I could. I haven't seen the sun in weeks. Studying peeling bark for an answer to anything. Reliving last night's dream of ospreys & a terrifying prehistoric pelican hunting in an alley in Chicago, fighting me, telling me I must leave these frozen flat lands and return to the sea, there is no sustenance here.
Now it is a steaming mug of green tea and The Simon and Schuster Encyclopedia of Dinosaurs and Prehistoric Creatures.
